I’m just 1 person who works out even when I don’t feel like it. It’s so easy to put off working out because it’s not timed right against meals or your body is tired or it’s just too cold outside to think about changing into workout clothes. But I try to remind myself of how good it’s going to feel when I’m finished with a workout. By the time I’m done, I will have my endorphins raised and stress levels lowered. After a hard workout and a warm shower, my muscles will feel relaxed, and I will feel accomplished. Most importantly, I will know that I haveve spent some time improving my health and fitness. It’s so important to show up for yourself and give your body every opportunity to grow stronger and fitter.
So even when it’s the last thing I feel like doing, I still work out. And as soon as I start working out, I will remember why I’m doing it. Feeling proud of myself for getting off my bum and getting physical will help me power through to the end every time. So will the promise of that shower and a nice meal afterward. Some of the workouts below were new to me, but others are ones I go to when I need to work out and don’t feel like it.
