I’m just 1 person who needs reminders to move. Lately, I’ve been sucked into projects and online events that keep me sitting down at my computer all day. If it weren’t for my Fitbit, it’s possible I might not stand up for five or six hours at a time. Okay, there have been a few times where I move my arm up and down to pretend like I’m walking, but I pay for that later when I get up and my legs ache from disuse. They never used to do that; I used to be able to sit down all day. But now my legs hurt if I don’t use them regularly. Perhaps they’re used to frequent movement now?
In any case, I need to pay better attention to my Fitbit’s hourly reminders to get up and take 250 steps, if I haven’t done so already. It’s good for me, and it’s also good for my housework. usually, the steps I take translate to taking out the trash or putting away laundry or tidying up purchases lingering in my quarantine holding areas. I get two birds with one stone that way, doing chores while getting in steps.
Because I’ve been busy, my workouts have been shorter than usual this week. I have met my minimum of 20 minutes a day, but I haven’t done any of my longer workouts in a while.
